Austin Thomas, artist and art activist, will bring her New York salon Apt. 38 to Available Space in Miami for a one-night exhibition event on Sunday, November 19, from 3-6 pm. Featuring work by Frances B. Ashforth, Mildred Beltre, Gilbert Giles, Rhia Hurt, Philip Knoll, Sue Knoll Muskat, Thomas Micchelli, Rachel Libeskind and Julie Torres.
Thomas states:
In February of 2017, I started a salon in my apartment, called Apartment 38, so that I could have a place to curate, gather and make community. I curate two projects a year that remain up for six months each. The idea behind this intimate art space, open by invitation only, is to nurture the artist in preparation for an expansion of their ideas out into the world.
